Here you will find most of my tracks from the last few years. My method involves a focus on analog-source sampling and home recording techniques so sound quality may vary. I have tried to post the approximate creation date as well other notes about the track that I can recall. Enjoy...

Fragmental elecrtajazz instrumentalism.

April
Warm Pulse 1:34
A work in progress. This is a style I intend to expand on.

March
Throw This Back 4:21
This track turned out to be totally different than what I had in mind. The mix gets a tad intense by the end.

February
Amen Ramen 1:48
For those familar with usual drum and bass fiber that is the amen break And as the title reveals it's quick and it's easy. Amen.

Six Degrees of Moog 2:05
The percussives for this were formed from a recording I did of some small plastic food cups. Add a shuffle of bad drum sample and some outrageous Moog action and you get this 2 min mess.

Underground Airports 2:14

Spooky Moog 1:42
The Moog is an endless supply of sci-fi sounds.

January
Dink-dink-dink-a (dodootdoodadoodado) 4:24
Aside from the italian jazz sample it's mostly live drum samples with a nice rolling bass and Moog Rogue Solo. You'll find that I use a lot of Moog after 2006 when I was first introduced to it.

2006
November
9 Volt Bias

Insomanama 3:25
Another unfinished track that was the result of a little insomnia and....the country of Panama? I remember making this on my head phones. The bass turned out to be a lot heavier then expected when played over loud-speakers.

July
You Drive Me Crazy, Baby
This is the original mix-down production of a Carson Labs collaboration involving Demi Batard and Esa Straton and my self. I recall it being a muggy summer day when I toasted the beat and bass and buttered it up with some of Demi's smooth guitar riffs. My voice-over is pitched low to make it sound sexier. Esa and Demi on vocals. Extra long intro.

The Orange Hat
An ongoing collaborative hip hop effort featuring my beats and flows by Vin Vega aka Matchstik.

Hey Houston (It's the Future)

Using the Power of Skill
Recorded at Vega's old pad, featuring the late Nic B. as hype man.

June
Juiced Lemon 2:43
A sloppy track that is constructed from a drum session with Max Rose

May
Paid Holiday No.2 3:07
Paid Holiday No.3 2:04
Paid Holiday No.4 1:59
My good friend Mr.T worked out a thing at his old job where he put in his two weeks notice right before he took a 14 day paid-vacation. He pretty much got paid to go to Hawaii and started a chill new job when he got back. Thus these "paid holiday" tracks were made to commemorate his victory over a dead end job and a dead-beat boss.

Shooting People In Stereo
A short lived band that originated from the song writing of my good friend and old roommate Nermal Newell. Aside from being a brilliant painter, illustrator, and skilled tattoo atist, Nermal has also been know to write some great original songs. Based off his four-track tape recordings a band was formed featuring Nermal (guitar), Max Rose (drums), Demi Batard (moog and guitar) and myself (guitar). You could call it a sort of phychadelic rock revival sound. After a few gigs, SPIS begat the equally short lived Tight Lemon Trio, sans Nermal.

Warm Ups 2:44
Myself on guitar, Demi Batard on Moog bass and Max Rose on drums. Recorded live during a sound check. The drums sound more clear because Max was wearing the microphone on his head while he played.

Out Take

Sniper Rifle (Live)

2005
A strange year for my musical experimentations. There was a lot of influences around and I learned a lot of things. I like to hear these old tracks from time to time and speculate about what I must have been thinking.

Flo Hill Session 2:43
This is a pre Orange Hat track, made back when I lived with Vega in the Florence Hill House I had rented.

Phono Grind 4:54
A song made up of static clips, spoon sounds and a moody prophet 500.

Soft Cycle 1

Witness One Hope

Stillscope - Last Transmission

StillScope - LateNote10110001
Stillscope was an experimental sound project that I used to do with this guy that went by the name Nermal Newell. We played live at a coffee shop a few times using only a small drum kit and prophet 500 synthezier. Strange.
